Earth Conductivity Material
PRO-EARTH is produced to reduce the earth resistance, improve the grounding effectiveness and impedance measurements. It contains natural cements and becomes highly conductive, long-lasting concrete when it is dryed.
Specifications
- Dramatically reduces earth resistance and impedance measurements.
- It is non-corrosive, high conductive carbon based structure
- Performs in all soil conditions even during dry spells.
- Can be installed in dry form in vertical orientation.
- May reduce the size of the grounding system where conventional
system is unsatisfactory - Does not require periodic irrigating, restoration, maintenance or
replacement. - Is not dissolved, decomposed.
- Easy to use and fully cured in 15 days.
- Complies with IEC 62561-7
PRO-EARTH max Installation Instructions
Conductor Backfill Installation
- To mix the material inside the bag into a slurry form, use 5.7 to 7.6 liters of water per bag of PROEARTH. Do not use salt water.
- Spread out enough PRO-EARTH to uniformly cover bottom of trench 5 cm deep. Let the PROEARTH harden to prevent the conductor from sinking to the bottom of the trench.
- After waiting 15-20 minutes, place conductor on top of PRO-EARTH. Spread more PRO-EARTH on top of conductor to completely cover conductor -5 cm deep. Allow PROEARTH to harden. Wait 30 minutes to one hour before filling the trench with soil backfill.
- Carefully cover the PRO-EARTH with soil making sure not to expose the conductor. Excess standing water must be removed from the hole
Earth Rod Backfill Installation
- Auger a 7.5 cm or larger diameter hole to a depth of 15 cm shorter than the length of the ground rod.
- Place ground rod into augered hole and drive (30 cm) into bottom of the hole. The top of the ground rod will be approximately 15 cm below grade.
- Premix PRO-EARTH into a slurry form. Use 5.7 to 7.6 liters of clean-potable water per bag of PROEARTH. The installation of PRO-EARTH in a dry state is acceptable for vertical ground rod applications.
- Pour the appropriate amount of PRO-EARTH around the ground rod. To ensure the PRO-EARTH material completely fills the hole, tamp around the ground rod with a pole. Wait 30 minutes to 1 hour before filling the hole with soil backfill.
- Fill remainder of augered hole with soil removed during augering. Excess standing water must be removed from the hole.
